Business as usual for Bohinc

General News 07 December 2009 - Hannes Bohinc experienced an incredible debut season in the SNAV OSG boat, as the team claimed the Powerboat P1 Evolution class title, with the championship going down to the wire.

However, the the 49-year-old entrepreneur from Vienna has had little time to relax and reflect on his achievements on the water.

“My business life is always demanding and apart from arranging a carpenter to add new shelves to my trophy cabinet, I have had little time to thing about powerboats!

"It was a fantastic season and I’d really like to be involved next year, but for now I’m focused on taking my company into 2010 in the best possible shape, then I can consider my options.”

Bohinc, a two times winner of both the Cowes-Torquay-Cowes and the Hamsworth Trophy, had only ever raced with diesel engines before his successful debut season in the Mercury-

“It was a new experience for me, but from the first time we tested the boat I knew we had the package and the potential to win the title. Hopefully the team can repeat the feat in 2010.”
